Fuckin sweet

I like the mix of the original classical piece with some very nice DnB breakbeats. Amazingly everything just seems to flow very nicely. Really good mixing too, the reverb on the snare is nice, but not over done. Overall this was a really freakin good piece of music and amazing trip.

Sweet.

I really enjoy your ambient pieces man and definitely like the delay setting you had. Everything felt nice and relaxing. Also your voice isn't that bad (at least it's not mine). Guitar playing is nice and clean as always.

Btw, have you ever heard of sound on sound?

Kor-Rune responds:

Never heard of it! You'll hafta asplain D:

Glad you like this rather fucked up little diddly, thanks!

LOVE IT!!!

It's got a nice dark and melodic feel to it, the organ dynamics are perfect and the whole thing just builds beautifully! Though the final chord could have been changed.

Btw what did you use for the organ? I've been looking around, because I'd really love to add organ parts to my music (since most of it has been coming rather dark and gothic like lately).

sorohanro responds:

Thanx for review.
Well, all I used was a sampler that I keep reccomend over forum for quite a while, it's Yellow Tools Independence Free. A very quality sampler that comes with over 2 GB library and the best part of it is that is free.

Definitely enjoyed

Chrono Trigger happens to be one of my favorite games (and I always enjoy good covers of my favorite VG music). Honestly I thought it turned out fairly nicely, though it felt a little quiet. The instruments for the most part were mixed well nicely, nothing felt like it was overpowering other parts.

I can't really say much else as it is a cover, though that I'm impressed you did this well in earing it out. I hope to see more in the future.

spagettio responds:

Thank you.

It usually does comes down to the overpowering elements. I had alot of trouble with the base instruments (Contra Bass and Tuba) then trying to tweak everything so it can be heard which brings my volume down. I've got to disiplin myself to keep the volume up.

Hopefully my next submission will be ear poppingly loud though it might end up being my own work.

Nice

I just came by your page to see what was new and came across this, very nice. I actually think you're a pretty decent vocalist (but this is coming from someone who's far worst lol).

Also, the music is just a tad bit too quiet, but your mixing skills have definitely improved a lot (everything seems at proper levels and well meshed together). As for the overall composition, as always I enjoy it. The constant changes due to it being progressive help it keep from being boring and the guitar playing is amazing as always.

Beautiful man

I love the lead playing in this, the melodies are just gorgeous. Everything about this song is just so nicely composed, kind of has a nice feel to reminisce to.

P.S. I'm sorry for your loss man, I'm sure she'd had enjoyed this song.

Metaljonus responds:

Thanks dude.

Hmm... Not too bad

Definitely quite fitting for a game like F-Zero. It just has that nice fast pace which would fit perfectly.

The melodies were definitely pretty good, like the fast pace piano arpeggios going on, everything seems to compliment nicely. The drums aren't anything flashy, which is actually quite fitting for a piece like this.

Overall nice job.

Box-Killa responds:

HeHe, It makes me warm in side when I dont get criticizm lol :D Peaceout
and thanks for the review!

Lolz

Very kick ass, the vocals could of been more guttural, but were still above average (especially since the clarity was good). The guitar riffs were sweet as hell (loved the use of pinch harmonics in this one). The drums though could have been brought out a little more.

Overall I loved this track to death.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!!

I love it. Nice and heavy. Everything for the most part came out nicely in the mix. I could seriously head bang to this shit hours on end and never get tired. I love the overall structure (it's actually kind of creepy in a sense at the middle).

Can't really say much else kick ass piece, keep up the good work man (I might PM you about vocals, though I'm going to need to practice my metal vocals again).

Metaljonus responds:

Thanks man! This is probably my favorite track to date. Every blue moon I impressive myself and I did it with this one lol. Pm about vox man, I want to do some myself but I can't think of good enough lyrics for it. But I have a set pattern down for them. Gah! I hate fucking with lyrics! haha. Thanks for the review!

OMGZ.....

You blew my mind dude, this is really good. The solo was different from what I'm used to hearing from you. The quality of this is just overall good. Though the drums still could of used a little more volume to help bring them in a little more. Overall this is very nice, it definitely gave my mind a workout trying to figure out the time signatures. I'll have to definitely give this one around ten listens to find all the different changes.

Overall very nice and definitely enjoyed the overall tone along with the complexity of the piece.

Kor-Rune responds:

Woo, drum volume fix, no problem, I'll do it later, thanks for the advice! :3

Here's a list of the time signatures used, see if you can spot them :D
