Awesome

Damn dude, haven't heard anything from you for awhile. This is pretty fucking sick. I love how rhythmic the song is overall and the symphonic parts help to accentuate it and give a melodic feel. Pretty amazing song dude, hope to hear more from you soon.

Lashmush responds:

Thanks for the review, good sir.

This is fuckin amazing

GOOD FUCKING JOB!!! Everything feels nice and upbeat, love the mixture of 8 bit and realistic instruments. The mix for the most part is pristine, the solo playing could have been cleaner, but hey the solo was still epic.

I had to listen to this just because Lance was one of my favorite characters back in the day, Blue/Gary being first.

Burn7 responds:

Yeah, I'm not the best soloist ever. I've only been playing for 3 years though, so I'm okay with it being unclean yet epic :)

And thanks for the listen!

This is awesome!!!

DNB with an awesome rap. I like the reverb/delay on the piano and how wobbly sounding the bass is. This is fucking amazing to be honest. Good job.

YouriX responds:

Yeah well this is pretty new to me to be honest. But i like trying out new things thou! So thanks for the compliment!

Very relaxing

Has a nice driving feel, but the note choice makes it really relaxing. I like the mix of chords you use, you always seem to have a natural feel for finding ambient progressions. The drums have a nice authentic feel and the mixing overall is fairly good.

Btw, what are you using for the drums?

Kor-Rune responds:

I still need to mix it better, I didn't bother cause I'm adding vocals, but thanks anyway!

To be honest I'm just throwing in jazz chord structures. It can get really beautiful if you work em the right way, I'd give them a try. :3

I'm using a copy of AddictiveDrums for my drum tracks

Glad you like it! I hope you'll like the finished version too!

Love it

This is probably the best example of why your my favorite artist on Newgrounds. In a way it's kind of like The Mars Volta meets metal (basically Mars Volta prog metal version).

I love the vocals, lyrics, the melodies and the mixing. Everything about this track is essentially perfect. If you lived closer I'd have to ask you to be the vocalist of my band. You're just the type I'm looking for.

Great job and good luck on your future musical endeavors.

Kor-Rune responds:

Gasp! Thank you!

I'm actually playing this live with a prog band I found with me on lead vocals and guitar. I feel like a douchebag being the frontman, I'm usually the short kid on that side that likes to shred.

Thanks a bunch, I'm glad you like this!

FUCK YES!!!

Dude this is very intense and the guitar playing is amazing as usual. Felt like a mixture of Vai and Petrucci, (the overall feel of the song very Vai like). This is just overall in your face kick ass kind of metal that you can just get straight into. I could just listen to this forever.

Kind of like a Vai song meets Constant Motion.

Kor-Rune responds:

Thanks man! little bit of harmonic minor/pentatonic wankery is kind of in my older style, it's a lot of fun to return to it and do some new stuff. I'm glad you like it, thanks again!

Sweet.

I really enjoy your ambient pieces man and definitely like the delay setting you had. Everything felt nice and relaxing. Also your voice isn't that bad (at least it's not mine). Guitar playing is nice and clean as always.

Btw, have you ever heard of sound on sound?

Kor-Rune responds:

Never heard of it! You'll hafta asplain D:

Glad you like this rather fucked up little diddly, thanks!

LOVE IT!!!

It's got a nice dark and melodic feel to it, the organ dynamics are perfect and the whole thing just builds beautifully! Though the final chord could have been changed.

Btw what did you use for the organ? I've been looking around, because I'd really love to add organ parts to my music (since most of it has been coming rather dark and gothic like lately).

sorohanro responds:

Thanx for review.
Well, all I used was a sampler that I keep reccomend over forum for quite a while, it's Yellow Tools Independence Free. A very quality sampler that comes with over 2 GB library and the best part of it is that is free.

Definitely enjoyed

Chrono Trigger happens to be one of my favorite games (and I always enjoy good covers of my favorite VG music). Honestly I thought it turned out fairly nicely, though it felt a little quiet. The instruments for the most part were mixed well nicely, nothing felt like it was overpowering other parts.

I can't really say much else as it is a cover, though that I'm impressed you did this well in earing it out. I hope to see more in the future.

spagettio responds:

Thank you.

It usually does comes down to the overpowering elements. I had alot of trouble with the base instruments (Contra Bass and Tuba) then trying to tweak everything so it can be heard which brings my volume down. I've got to disiplin myself to keep the volume up.

Hopefully my next submission will be ear poppingly loud though it might end up being my own work.

Beautiful man

I love the lead playing in this, the melodies are just gorgeous. Everything about this song is just so nicely composed, kind of has a nice feel to reminisce to.

P.S. I'm sorry for your loss man, I'm sure she'd had enjoyed this song.

Metaljonus responds:

Thanks dude.

I like sci fi, horror, music, art, and other things. Feel free to ask me anything.
